Description
This is the “scar” of the mighty Saguaro. The Cactus Wren pecks out a home with his beak carving out a hole in the spongy tissue to create a cozy cool home to build a nest. The cactus forms a scar around the damaged area where the bird made its nest. When the Saguaro Cactus dies the scar remains in tact creating these unusually shaped natural objects. This one is extremely special as you can see the beak marks at the base. Added some copper wire & turquoise beads to give it some bling. Just a note: All of my materials are from my property, given to me, or collected on private land. Please respect our national parks and Saguaro Monuments and don’t collect from them. Even dying saguaros are wonderful natural sculptures for all to enjoy. The Sonoran Desert is a beautiful place. Thank you for letting me share it with you
