I grew up in Tucson Arizona with my parents, sister, and brother. My parents raised us to be explorers, we adventured through the western states down back roads, exploring ghost towns, hiking canyons, forests, and deserts. As a small child, I always brought home interesting rocks, pieces of wood, and rusty things as treasures.
I have traveled since those days and the Sonoran Desert is still my favorite place to explore and not much has changed with me except my husband, daughter, and son-in-law are my fellow explorers now.
These travels inspired me to turn my passion for exploring and collecting into art and create pieces in which bring these elements into people’s homes and events.Â
Sometimes I start on a piece as soon as I get it home, and other pieces may sit for a year or so before I see what it will become. Each piece is unique and embodies the beauty of the Desert.
The creations here are my passion and I’m so happy to share them with you.
About Desert Winds GalleryÂ
I created Desert Winds Gallery to showcase the pieces I make from the reclaimed materials locally sourced from the Southwest Desert. I strive to share its beauty in the unique way I see it. I can create custom pieces from wood I have previously sourced or from wood you provide. My goal is to bring your vision to life for an event or your home.
